Fryklund has been with the program for a combined 10 seasons. The 43-year-old will take over for Jim Scanlan, who recently announced that he was stepping down from the bench boss position.
Scanlan has been at the helm of the women's hockey program for 10 years. The native of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, won the USCHO National Coach of the Year award in 2014-15 with the Beavers.
